Crystal Water Monitor offers several mounting options. There are few general guidelines that apply to all mounting methods:

  1. The white part of the Crystal Water Monitor can be outside in the rain but cannot be submerged.
  2. The Crystal Sensor bottom should be permanently submerged while in use.
  3. You should always secure the cord such that there is no lose cable.
  4. You should always mount the Crystal Water Monitor in an area with little to no foot traffic being careful not to cause a trip hazard.

Horizontal Surface Mount

The Crystal Water Monitor can be mounted to almost any flat surface using the included double sided tape and mounting plate.

  1. Install the mounting plate onto the bottom of the Crystal Water Monitor by aligning the tabs, inserting the tabs into the mounting plate, and the by rotating the mounting plate 45 degrees until it locks into place.
  2. Next, peel one side of the double sided tape and apply it to the flat bottom of the installed mounting plate.
  3. Locate an area around your pool or hot tub which will allow the tape to adhere. The surface should be smooth and not dusty or dirty.
  4. Peel off the other side of the double sided tape and press the monitor and mounting into place.

Vertical Surface Mount

The Crystal Water Monitor can be mounted to smooth vertical surfaces using the included double sided tape or screws (not included).

  1. Install the mounting plate onto the bottom of the Crystal Water Monitor by aligning the tabs, inserting the tabs into the mounting plate, and the by rotating the mounting plate 45 degrees until it locks into place.
  2. Next, peel one side of the double sided tape and apply it to the flat bottom of the installed twist lock adapter.
  3. Locate an area around your pool or hot tub which will allow the tape to adhere. The surface should be smooth and not dusty or dirty.
  4. Peel off the other side of the double sided tape and press the monitor and mounting plate into place so that the plug faces down to allow water to drip off the cable.
  5. The cable can extend over the edge of hot tubs so that the sensor can be submerged in the water.

If you wish to use screws, you can thread screws through the holes in the center of the mounting plate for a secure fit.

Pipe or Pole Mount

The Crystal Water Monitor can be mounted to most pipes or poles like ladders, railing, or plumbing.

  1. Use the 4 included screws to attach the mounting plate to the pipe adapter.
  2. Thread the included cable ties through the slots on the pipe adapter and around the pipe or pole.
  3. Tighten the cable ties and trim off the excess
  4. Next, align the tabs on the Crystal Water monitor with the slots on the mounting plate, insert the tabs into the mounting plate, and then rotate the monitor 45 degrees until it locks into place. Note, the mounting plate will allow the monitor snap into place in 4 different orientations so that you can have the plug facing the desired direction - typically down to allow water to run off the cable.
